2 Bedroom, 2 Baths Lodge with Sleeps 8 in Key Largo, FL
Our 2/2 modern comfortable house has plenty of dock space (over 100 ft.) and is right next to our private boat ramp.
Do you like back-country (shallow water and remote) or deep sea fishing, scuba diving or snorkeling, sailing, nature-watching, canoeing or just relaxing? Then Key Largo and the Florida Keys are the ideal destinations for you. Our vacation rental house is located just 55 minutes south of Miami International Airport or 40 minutes north of Marathon Regional Airport.
Charter fishing and diving boats are just minutes away or you can bring you own boat or boats (there is room for about 4) and create your own adventure. We have a free boat ramp adjacent to our property for you to launch your boat.
World famous John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is around the corner and is home to some of the most beautiful diving spots in the World. Bring your own gear or rent some from the local dive shops. Never gone diving? No problem, local dive shops will provide lessons and have you scuba diving or snorkeling in no time.
Very important, we have a gated community boat ramp right next to our property. The keys are on the premises.
House Amenities: Located in the heart of Key Largo at mile marker 98.5 on US Overseas Highway (US-1), our vacation rental home is fully equipped to accommodate parties of up to 8 people comfortably. Our two bedroom and two bath house has completely new amenities, including solid wood and marble top kitchen cabinets; ceramic tile throughout, air conditioning, and a huge screened patio that overlooks a 150 foot dock. The house is situated on a waterway that leads directly to Florida Bay and Everglades National Park. Within minutes of our dock you will find world-class backcountry and open water fishing, coral and artificial reef diving spots, remote islands with sandy beaches, and secluded canoeing and nature-watching spots.
The house has everything you will need to feel at home while on vacation. The kitchen has new appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave), toaster oven, Panini press, complete set of pots and pans, glassware, and service for eight. We also have a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, large closet, dresser, an armoire with 36 inch HD television and nightstand and ceiling fan. The guest bedroom has bunk beds (full size on bottom and twin on top), small closet, dresser, 30 inch television, and ceiling fan.
The living room area is equipped with wireless internet access, 50 inch large screen HD television set, two ceiling fans, and plenty of couches to watch TV or enjoy the view through the large windows overlooking the waterway. One of the couches is a queen sized sleeper sofa and we also have a day bed that sleeps at least two or three. The dining room has a large table that seats 6 or can be expanded to 8.
The screened patio has comfortable patio furniture that seats 8.
Activities and Attractions: We generally have two fishing poles available for guests to use. The waterway that runs along the back has plenty of fish for anglers of all ages, including, snapper, trout, redfish, snook, tarpon, grouper, barracuda, sharks, and catfish. It is also very common to see manatee families swimming along as they feed on seaweed and other aquatic vegetation. You will also certainly see a friendly iguana family that lives in the huge mangrove tree that sits in the waterway directly behind the house.
The house has a large yard for children to run around and a small play ground set where they can play pirate games and create adventures of their own.
Key Largo and The Florida Keys provide countless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, numerous shopping and dining options, and several attractions. The house is located just minutes from all these destinations and we have provided several links and additional information to many of these activities and destinations.
